Ingredients

1 egg

2 cans (10.5 oz) condensed French Onion soup, undiluted, divided

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

1/4 tsp. salt

pinch of pepper

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef

2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup ketchup

2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp. prepared mustard

Preparation

In a large bowl, beat egg. Stir in 1/3 cup of soup, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Add beef and mix gently. Shape into six oval patties.

Brown in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside and discard drippings.

In the skillet, combine flour and water until smooth. Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and remaining soup; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.

Return patties to skillet. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.

Serve patties and gravy over cooked egg noodles, garnish with parsley, if desired.
