Ingredients

3/4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs

1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram, crushed

1 clove of garlic, finely minced

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 pound of 85% or better ground beef (I like 85% for the flavor)

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  2. Make the burgers to your liking. I like to make 3 patties from 1lb of beef.
  3. Cook on a heated (medium) and cleaned, and lubricated grill. I use PAM spray but you can wipe the grill with an olive oil coated paper towel as well. Place the burgers on the grill and pour a little bit of the remaining beer, on the uncooked side. After about five minutes, using a spatula, flip the burgers over, and pour a bit more beer on each patty. WARNING DO NOT SMASH THE BURGERS WITH THE SPATULA! All that does is smoosh the fluids out of the burger and make your burgers bone dry! After another five minutes or so, flip the burgers once again and drench them with the remainder of the beer. Give them a minute or so and then remove them from the fire. Let them stand for a few minutes, so that the internal moisture can redistribute itself, and then EAT THEM!
