Ingredients

2 C dry macaroni

4 C shredded sharp yellow cheese

salt and pepper to taste

1/2 C milk

1-2 T flour 2 T butter

Preparation

Boil and drain the macaroni. Place macaroni in a large bowl. Mix cold milk and flour in a large sauce pan and heat, stirring. When warm, add butter and salt. You should end up with a white sauce about the consistency of thick gravy. Add 3 cups of the shredded cheese and stir until melted. When all melted, pour over cooked macaroni and blend. Pour into casserole and cover with remaining shredded cheese. Bake uncovered until it’s heated through–about 1/2 hour.
