Ingredients

1-1/2 cups macaroni

3 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 cups milk

8 ounces cheddar cheese

Preparation

Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until tender. In saucepan, melt butter, blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Cube cheese and add to mixture. Stir until melted. Stir in macaroni. Turn into 1-1/2 quart casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes until top is lightly browned.
