Ingredients
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups coconut
1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 8-ounce package cream cheese,
1/2 cup butter, (1 stick)
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9-by-13" baking pan with Pam ( or any other cooking spray ) Sprinkle pecans and coconut into pan. Prepare cake mix as directed. Spoon batter into cake pan covering nuts and coconut. Melt butter and creamcheese in saucepan stirring until well combined. Add powdered sugar and mix well. Spoon over batter in pan– do not stir or mix the cake. The “icing” bakes into the cake and will look cracked when finished..like an earthquake Bake for 45 minutes. If the cake moves in the middle bake for 5 to 10 minutes longer.
