Ingredients

6 Tablespoons parsley, chopped

12 medium onions, chopped

½ Cup butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 lb ground beef or turkey

48 oounces tomato puree

36 ounces tomato paste

2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 ½ tteaspoons salt, or to taste

Whole wheat pasta – ~2 ounces per person

Preparation

Melt butter in Dutch oven. Add onions, parsley, and garlic, and cook until soft. Brown ground meat, and add to onions. Add remainder of ingredients and mix well. Simmer slowly for at least 3 hours. (A crock-pot works well.)

Shortly before you’re ready to eat, make whole wheat spaghetti according to package directions.
