Ingredients

6- 6 1/2oz. cans minced clams

1- 2 oz. bottle real bacon pc.

3- 16 oz. cans diced tomatoes

3- 8 oz. bottles clam juice

3 cups celery finely chopped

3 cups onion finely chopped

6 med. potatoes diced

1 1/2 cups carrots chopped

1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme

3 teaspoons salt

3/8 teaspoons pepper

8 cups water

1- 12 oz. can tomato juice

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in large pot. Bring to a boil stirring often. Reduce heat to simmer/low boil for 4-6 hours. You want to cook it until vegetables are tender, and clam taste permeates all ingredients.
