cups (6 medium) sliced peeled cooking apples

1/2

cup water

2

cinnamon sticks

2 tablespoons maple-flavored syrup

Preparation

In large saucepan, combine apples, water and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes or until apples are tender.

Remove cinnamon sticks. Stir in syrup. Serve over potato pancakes or pancakes.
