Ingredients

5 lbs your favorite cooking apple

1 box Red Hots from the candy aisle

1/2 cup water

Preparation

wash apples Leave peel on Core and cut in wedges. I use one of those handy apple corers.

Put in large heavy pot with 1/2 cup water and full box of Red Hots.

Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low

Simmer about 1/2 hour or until apples are red and softly firm.

Serve warm or cold. Great for pot luck meals
