Ingredients

Soy Sauce 2 garlic cloves halved length-wise

Maple syrup lg can of Italian tomatoes

2 T olive oil

Preparation

Warm oil and throw in garlic. Cook for few minutes until garlic is soft. Add tomatoes and cut them up (break them up in pan). Cook 15-20 minutes to cook down liquid. Keep the fresh taste by not overcooking. Taste tomatoes to check for sweet fresh flavor. Adjust flavor with about 1 T maple syrup. Drizzle a little soy sauce for depth. Add balsamic in a long drizzle. Add fresh basil, 2 or 3 leaves, in the sauce to cook. (Later add basil on top for color.) Add salt and pepper.
