Ingredients
3/4 c. olive oil
1 lg onion, minced
4 28 oz. cans crushed tomatoes plus 1 16oz can
1 T salt
1 t white pepper
1 small bunch of fresh basil
Preparation
place olive oil in a lg pan, add the onion and saute slowly until almost translucent. Add the garlic and cook until it begins to brown. Add the tomatoes, salt and pepper. Bring to very slow boil and simmer for 30 mins. Add the basil and simmer an additional 30 mins. Taste for salt and pepper.
