Ingredients
1 T. olive oil
1 small shallot
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 c. fresh basil (1 t. dried)
5 seeded Roma tomatoes
2 T. tomato paste
Herbes de provence to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In skillet, heat olive oil. Saute shallot and garlic until golden.
- Place shallot and garlic with all other ingredients in food processor, and blend until smooth.
- Pour back into skillet, and simmer sauce for 15 minutes.
