Ingredients

36 small mushroom caps

2 T soy sauce

2 T sugar

4 t vinegar

3 T sake (substitution - sherry)

2 t salt

1/2 c. minced onions

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients except mushrooms in a saucepan; bring to a boil.

  2. Pour over mushrooms.

  3. Refrigerate 24 hours, turning occasionally.

  4. Drain before serving. May be served cold, or broiled and served hot.
