Ingredients
4 tbsp Olive Oil
3 Cups chopped onion (Vidalia, Red, or White)
4 garlic cloves - chopped
8 oz package sliced fresh mushrooms
3 28 oz cans diced tomatoes in juice
1 28 oz can tomato sauce
4 tbsp chopped fresh basil
2 tbsp chopped fresh oregano
Preparation
Heat oil in large pot over medium-low heat. Saute onion until golden brown - about 10 min. Add garlic and mushrooms and stir frequently for another 5 min. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens (we typically let it simmer for hours)
