Ingredients
2 sticks of butter (not too soft)
½ cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
1tsp baking soda
2 cups flour
12 oz chocolate chips or 2 cups chopped chocolate
1/1/4 cups chopped nuts
Preparation
Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and salt. Add eggs and soda. Then add flour. Blend in nuts and chocolate. Cover and chill for 4 hours or over-night. Do not freeze.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use 2 to 3 Tbls. of dough for each cookie (5 cookies per greased cookie sheet). Bake 10 min. until the center of cookie springs back slightly when very lightly touched. Cook on sheet 2 min. Remove to paper towels for 2 min., then onto a rack to finish cooling. Repeat with cooled sheets.
