Ingredients

4 pounds of babyback pork ribs

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup Jack Daniels whiskey

1 tsp. chili powder

2 cloves garlic, crushed

1 tsp. dry mustard

Preparation

  1. If you decide to cook the ribs before grilling, boil a large pot of water. Once water is boiling, put serving size portions of ribs into water and boil for about 30 minutes until no longer pink.
  2. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Jack Daniels, chili powder, garlic, and dry mustard. Marinate the ribs one hour at room temperature or overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat grill to low and grate should not be too close to heat source.
  4. Brush grate with oil. Place ribs on grill and cook for 30 minutes, basting with marinade. If slow grilling then cook for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours marinating occasionally.
