Ingredients
2 12-oz packages semi-sweet chocolate bits/morsels
4 T. rum or brandy or orange juice or grand marnier
2 T. instant coffee or orange juice
8 eggs, separated
2/3 t. salt
Preparation
Melt chocolate slowly (don’t let it get too hot or bubble); stir in rum or brandy and coffee and salt (Chocolate may turn right stiff). Beat yolks, add chocolate mixture and beat/blend well. Beat whites until just stiff and fold into chocolate mixture. Refrigerate 12-24 hours - keeps two weeks easily. Serve with whipped cream.
