Ingredients

12 yams

2 large cans of sweet potatoes

4 cups milk

12 T brown sugar

6 T melted butter

1 t salt

dash of pepper

cinnamon to taste

nutmeg to taste

2 bags of marshmallows

Preparation

  1. Mash yams
  2. Add milk gradually
  3. Mix in remaining ingredients (except marshmallows)
  4. Put into buttered casserole dish
  5. Bake at 250 degrees for 20-30 minutes
  6. Cover top with marshmallows
  7. Return to oven until marshmallows are slightly melted and a bit brown (don’t over heat as they will melt)
