Ingredients
12 yams
2 large cans of sweet potatoes
4 cups milk
12 T brown sugar
6 T melted butter
1 t salt
dash of pepper
cinnamon to taste
nutmeg to taste
2 bags of marshmallows
Preparation
- Mash yams
- Add milk gradually
- Mix in remaining ingredients (except marshmallows)
- Put into buttered casserole dish
- Bake at 250 degrees for 20-30 minutes
- Cover top with marshmallows
- Return to oven until marshmallows are slightly melted and a bit brown (don’t over heat as they will melt)
