Ingredients

3 slices bacon

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup bread crumbs

2 onions thinly sliced

1 teaspoon beef bouillon

1 teaspoon vinegar

1/4 teaspoon thyme

12 ounces beer

1 egg beaten

3 tablespoons flour

1 pound ground beef

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons parsley

Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp. Crumble and set aside reserving grease. In a bowl combine 1/4 cup beer, egg, bread crumbs, salt and a dash of pepper. Add hamburger and mix well. Roll into 1" balls, brown in bacon grease. Transfer meatballs into a 1-1/2 quart casserole. Cook onions in same skillet as meatballs with bacon grease until golden. Stir in flour, add remainig beer, boullion, brown sugar, vinegar, 1-1/2 teaspoons salt, thyme and pepper. Pour over meatballs. Cover and bake in 350 degree over for 45 minutes.
