Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef (or other meat); 1 small red onion, diced; 2/3 cup ketchup; 1 tablespoon molasses; 2 eggs, beaten; 1 cup bread or cracker crumbs ( or oatmeal); 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning; 1 pinch nutmeg, 2 pinches cumin

Sauce:

1/3 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup molasses, 1/4 teaspoon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce (or steak sauce), pinch each of nutmeg and cumin.

Preparation

Mix everything together except ingredients for sauce. Pat into a loaf (a ring will cook faster). Place in roasting pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes then pour sauce over and bake for remaining 35 to 40 minutes.
