Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 ¾ cup flour
powdered sugar
Preparation
Beat butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl w/ electric mixer until fluffy. Add nuts, and mix until blended. With mixer on low speed, gradually beat in flour just until blended. Wrap dough and chill until firm enough to handle (at least two hours).
Heat oven to 350. Roll dough into 1" balls and place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 12-15 min. or until firm and lightly golden. While warm, roll in powdered sugar. Let cool on racks.
Stores, tightly covered, up to 3 weeks.
