Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil
2 lb lean ground beef
2 15 oz cans of diced tomatoes (liquid included)
2 15 oz cans red kidney beans (liquid drained)
2 15 oz cans pinto beans (liquid drained)
2 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 medium white onion diced
4 tbsp chopped celery
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chili powder or to taste
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 cup water if needed
Preparation
Cook onions in olive oil until soft over medium heat. Add celery and cook until soft. Add hamburger to pan breaking into small pieces. Continue cooking until beef is brown. Add remaining ingredients. Stir to combine thoroughly. Bring to simmer over medium heat. Reduce burner to low. Continue simmering for 50 - 60 min. Stir occasionally.
