Ingredients

1.5 cups margarine, melted (3 sticks)

1/2 cup molasses

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

4 cups flour (not sifted)

4 teaspoons baking soda

2 teaspoons cinnamon

4-5 teaspoons powdered ginger

2 teaspoons ground cloves

pinch salt

Preparation

Add molasses, sugar, and eggs to melted margarine. Sift together other ingredients and add. Refrigerate overnight or several hours. Make into small balls, roll in sugar, flatten balls slightly, and bake at 350 degrees 8-10 minutes on ungreased sheet.
