Ingredients

1½ lbs ground pork

½ C finely chopped onions or thinly sliced green onions

6 tbsp white miso

6 tbsp granulated sugar

Steamed short grain white rice

Strips of nori for garnish

Preparation

• Cook the onions over medium-high heat until they begin to caramelize • Add the pork and cook, stirring occasionally, until it begins to brown • Add the sugar and miso and mix well • Continue to cook until the pork is well cooked and the sauce mixture has become dark and well caramelized • Serve over steamed rice and garnish with strips of nori
