Ingredients
1/2 C. Crisco
1/2 C. butter
1/2 C. white sugar
1/2 C. brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 scant C. molasses
2 1/4 C. flour
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp each ginger, and cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda
Preparation
Mix Crisco, butter with the white and brown sugar. Add the 1 egg and molasses. In a separate bowl mix flour cinnamon, ginger and cloves salt and soda. Combine all ingredients together. Grease cookie sheet. Chill dough. Roll into walnut-sized balls. Dip in white sugar. Place sugar side up on a cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees for 12 to 14 min.
