Ingredients

2 c flour

1 tsp caraway seeds

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp baking powder

1 c raisins

1 c buttermilk

Preparation

Blend all dry ingredients - add raisins and mix well. Add buttermilk. Mix well. Knead slightly in the bowl until stickiness begins to disappear. Form into a round loaf and place in a greased pie tin/cake pan. With a serated knife, cut an X (cross). Place in 375 degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake another 30 minutes or so. Should be light brown-ish when done. Knock on it for hollow sound.
