Ingredients
Meatballs
1.5 lb ground beef
1 beaten egg
1 cup crushed corn flakes
1/4 cup cold water
1 medium onion, finely chopped
salt and pepper to taste
olive oil, canola oil, or shortening for frying
Sweet and Sour Sauce
2 cups ketchup
3/4 cup cold water
2 tablespoons worchestershire sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
lemon juice from 1/2 lemon
1 pinch rosemary
1 bay leaf
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 large cabbage, sliced
Preparation
Meatballs Combine beef, egg, cornflakes, water, onion, salt and pepper. Mix to combine well. Form mixture into walnut sized balls and saute in oil over medium heat, turning once. Drain thoroughly.
Combine all sauce ingredients in a large pot and mix completely. Add meatballs. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for one hour. Stir occassionally to avoiding burning. Eat and enjoy!
