Ingredients

Outside leaves of cabbage

Ground Beef

Egg

Tomato sauce

Tomato paste

Water

Lemon juice

butter

Diced onion.

sugar

salt & pepper

Preparation

Boil cabbage in salt water until tender, about 5 min. Drain and flatten out. Mix ground beef, salt, pepper and egg. Make into balls and roll in cabbage leaves. To make sauce, saute diced onions in butter. Add tomato sauce, paste, water, lemon juice, sugar, salt & pepper. Cook for a few minutes, then add cabbage rolls. Simmer 2-2 1/2 hrs.
