Ingredients

2/3 cup melted butter

3/4 cup chopped onions

1/2 cup raisins

1 tsp salt (or less)

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 Tbsp ground sage

16-18 slices of dry bread, broken into pieces

Enough hot water to make moist

Preparation

Use 1 recipe for a 10-14 lb turkey 2 recipes for 15-20 lb turkey

Saute onion a bit in some of the butter. Mix everything together, adding the hot water at the end to moisten. Do not stuff too tightly, as will get hard.

Better: can also be baked by itself - place in a baking dish and bake about 40 minutes at 350. Baste with turkey drippings if available.
