Ingredients

2 T soy sauce

1 t sugar

1 t corn starch

2 t dry sherry

2 t Hoisin sauce

1 t rice vinegar

1 t chili paste

1/4 t salt

2 t peanut oil

1 T minced fresh ginger

1 T minced garlic

1 # sirloin steak, thinly sliced across the grain

16 medium green onion cut into 2" pieces

Preparation

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients; stir with a whisk until smooth.
  2. Heat peanut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ginger, garlic and beef; saute 2 minutes or until beef is browned. Add onions and saute 30 seconds. Add soy sauce mixture, cook 1 minute or until thickened. Serve on top of rice noodles if they can be found.
