Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

1 + 2 Tbls cups packed brown sugar

3 eggs

2 cups peanut butter

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

3/4 tsp corn syrup

4 1/2 cups rolled oats

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or 1 6 oz. pkg)

1 cup candy-coated milk chocolate pieces

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream butter & gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg & milk; beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in vanilla. Drop dough, by heaping teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes (centers of cookies will be slightly soft). Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks, and cool completely. Yield: 2 1/2 dozen.
