Ingredients

2 tuna steaks, 1/2 lb each

2 Tbsp sesame seeds

2 Tbsp fennel seeds

2 Tbsp ground cumin

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

3 Tbsp canola oil

Preparation

Put spices onto a flat plate; mix them together. Press the tuna steaks onto the spices, turning them to cover both sides. Heat the oil in a 10" frying pan until shimmering. Add the spiced tuna. Cook about three to four minutes per side (you want it rare in the center). Let rest briefly before serving.
