Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp baking soda
Preparation
Combine flour, salt, nutmeg & baking soda in one bowl. Blend egg yolks, shortening, sour cream & vanilla in another bowl until smooth. Add dry ingreients to wet and blend. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness and use cookie cutters & transfer to parchment covered cookie sheets. Bake 5-7 min or until firm to touch. Cool & frost with buttercream frosting.
