Ingredients

Cake:

1/2 lb melted margerine

5 Tb cocoa

1 c water

2 c sugar

2 c flour

2 tsp baking soda

1/2 c buttermilk

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

Frosting:

1 stick margerine

5 Tb cocoa

6 Tb buttermilk

1 lb powdered sugar, sifter

Preparation

For cake: Preheat oven to 350*

Boil first three ingredients and allow to cool slightly.

Sift and add dry ingredients.

Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.

Beat and pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan

Bake 25-30 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.

Shortly before cake is to be done, boil margerine, cocoa and buttermilk. Add powdered suar and mix, but NOT TOO STIFF

Pour over cake while frosting and cake are still warm.
