Ingredients

3 cups natural bran

4 cups all bran cereal

2 cups boiling water

4 cups buttermilk

1 cup butter softened

2 1/2 cups sugar

4 large eggs

5 cups flour

1 1/2 Tbs baking soda

1 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

In a very large bowl mix bran and bran cereal. Add boiling water. Stir. Let stand 10 min.

Add buttermilk. Stir.

Cream butter and sugar in second bowl. Beat eggs, 1 at a time. Add to bran mixture. Stir.

Stir flour, baking soda and salt in large bowl to blend. Add to butter. Stir to moisten. Fill greased muffin cups almost full. Bake in 400F (205C) for 15-20 min. Makes abt 5 dozen.
