Ingredients
2 tbsp. butter
2 cups mushrooms-sliced
1/4 cup green onions
2 tbsp. flour
2 cups milk
2/3 grated parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
375 grams tortellini
1-1/2 cups mozzarella cheese-grated
640ml Tomato Sauce
Preparation
- To make parmesan/mushroom sauce, melt butter in a large saucepan. Cook mushrooms and green onions until tender and liquid has evaporated.
- Blend in flour and gradually stir in milk. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in parmesan cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover and keep warm.
- Cook tortellini according to directions.
- Drain and stir into mushroom sauce.
- Pour tomato sauce into baking dish.
- Spoon tortellini mixture over tomato sauce.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella.
- Broil until cheese is melted and golden. Enjoy!!
