Ingredients

2.5 mashed bananas

quarter cup flax seeds

1.5 tablespoons water

1 ¼ Cup sugar (half granulated and half brown)

2 Cups flour (half all purpose half whole wheat)

3 tablespoons cacao powder

2 tablespoons cinnamon

1-teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 tablespoons vanilla

1-cup unsweetened organic applesauce

1 egg

1 Small cube of butter

Preparation

Preheat oven 350°F. Mash up bananas and set aside. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar and add a little water to help mix. In medium bowl, combine flour,cacao, baking soda, and salt and cinnamon; set aside. Add egg, vanilla and banana; mix well. Add flour mixture slowly alternating with applesauce and mix in flax seeds; blend thoroughly but do not over mix. Pour into prepared pans. Bake 17-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan on rack; remove and cool completely before decorating.
